Hosted 3CX VM Migration to New Cluster (1/4 of total) from 2023-01-27 19:00 NZST to 2023-01-28 00:00 NZST

We are in the process of replacing our virtual machine server cluster at our Datavault Grafton datacentre with new servers and migrating all virtual machines across. We are not able to do a live migration of virtual machines from the old cluster to new cluster due to differing CPU architectures, this necessitates the VM’s being shut down for migration.

During this window, we will be migrating approximately 1/2 of all hosted 3CX servers at this location, which is 1/4 of hosted 3CX servers overall. VM’s will be shut down, migrated to the new cluster and then powered back up and tested, resulting in approximately 30-60 minutes of downtime per 3CX server.

3CX servers that do not generally handle calls in the evening are being targeted for this migration. 3CX servers which do take calls in the evening will be left alone, to be migrated another time.
