DSL/UFB BNG Cutover from 2020-05-13 22:30 NZST to 2020-05-13 23:30 NZST

In order to prepare for a scheduled upgrade we will be gracefully bleeding customers from one of our BNG’s to others in the cluster. This will result in a short loss of service as PPP & IPoE sessions drop and reestablish on other BNG’s.

Only approximately 35% of subscribers will be affected (as sessions are load balanced) and should reestablish connectivity within 30 seconds.

Some makes of Firewalls and Routers may not automatically reconnect and may require manual intervention to reestablish a connection.

We expect the total downtime in the outage window to be no more than ~1 minute per customer.
